Experience
I earned my B.A. in Psychology and English at Hofstra University, then went on to obtain a master's degree, along with teaching certifications in Social Studies and English, at Stony Brook University. I taught high school Social Studies and English for almost ten years, also serving as a tutor outside of school hours. I provided individual instruction to improve literacy and in English, History, American Government, and Economics. I love to learn along with the students I assist, and am delighted to keep discovering how much new ground there is to cover. I look forward to the journey with each new student. I offer tutoring in Reading, Writing, Literature, Grammar, American History, and Social Studies, as well as preparation for related AP exams, the ACT and the SAT. When I'm not teaching or tutoring, I like art, music, theater, architecture, and decorating. I also enjoy good cuisine and entertaining.
