I am a resident of Tampa, Florida, holding a bachelor's degree in English with a minor in psychology from Flagler College-St. Augustine and a master's degree in public administration from Troy State University. I was an officer in the United States Air Force for 21 years and currently work for the United States Central Command. My teaching experience includes over a decade as adjunct instructor at the University of Phoenix's business school. I also tutored my own three children, who are all college graduates, for many years. My skills in German come from studying the language in secondary school and college and living in Frankfurt for four years. I believe that the ability to communicate, especially through writing, is vital. In today's world, we may deal with people for years exclusively through email, without ever meeting them in person. Subjects I am willing to tutor include reading, writing, literature, grammar and mechanics, public speaking, and German. I am also available to help students prepare for standardized tests such as the PSAT, SAT, GRE, and ACT, and enjoy helping students prepare their college admission essays. In my spare time, I like reading, motorcycle riding, and going to festivals and concerts.
