Far too often, a student falls into the habit of merely memorizing raw data without actually understanding it. As a tutor, I assess the student's current level of knowledge, determine his or her preferred learning style, and then customize and adapt my teaching style to challenge, stimulate, and engage the student's individual needs. I ensure my students understand the concepts we work on thoroughly by encouraging my students to provide feedback. I studied at the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Venezuela and the University of Virginia, which have given me a wide range of tools, tips, tricks, and techniques necessary for academic success. I primarily tutor students in math courses, including Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, all levels of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and I can also help students prepare for the math portion of the SAT. In my spare time, I like to travel and go running.
