I a currently in my senior year at the University of South Florida in Tampa, my degree is in Spanish Language and Literature. I have studied Spanish as a second language for 8 years and have dedicated a large part of the last 3 years to actively bettering my comprehension, pronunciation, and reading abilities in the Spanish Language both through reading many books and stories in the language and visiting Spanish Language speaking countries and immersing myself in the culture.

Experience

I have been studying Spanish Language for 8 years and have always had a strong passion for learning the language, immersing myself in Spanish language speaking cultures, and helping friends and family spark an interest in foreign language learning. I'm interesting in tutoring because I intend on becoming a foreign language teacher in the future, and think the experience could be beneficial. Also, I enjoy teaching others things about the language because not only does it help me to understand what I work with better, but it gives me an opportunity to share something I really enjoy with others who are struggling with it.

Hobbies

My hobbies mostly include language learning; I currently am working on learning Portuguese as well as Dutch. I am a huge travel fiend as well and try to take new trips several times a year to places I have never visited. In the future I hope to make a career of teaching English as a foreign language in various countries throughout the world, hopefully starting in Spain the fall after I graduate. I am in general a very laid back and understanding person, so students who have difficulty grasping certain concepts are not frustrating to me; I enjoy the thought that goes into helping people understand aspects of a language that are foreign and tricky to English speakers.
