Experience
Variety of tutoring experience with middle school, high school, and university students. Subjects ranging from elementary mathematics, life sciences, physical sciences, calculus, statistics, and mechanical/aerospace engineering. Tutoring is a job I have been doing ever since I was old enough to start helping my sister with school. Ever since then, I have wanted to help students in school and to ultimately become a teacher at the high school/community college level. Tutoring helps me gather relevant information about being an effective teacher with the students of today. Not only do I want my students to attain the necessary skills and knowledge of their subjects, but more importantly I want to help increase their self-confidence in tackling their homework, projects, and examinations. It is my belief that high levels of self-confidence will only benefit the students understanding and performance in their subjects. My background is in mechanical engineering (i.e. a lot of high level mathematics, physics, and chemistry). Throughout my time in college, I developed an affinity towards mathematics because of the great instructors I had! This made me more interested in the field to the point where I one day hope to go for my PhD in Mathematics.
