I love to read and watch current news regarding domestic and international politics and policies. I frequently attend lectures by renowned scholars, journalists, social and medical scientists, and others. I'm passionate about social justice--specifically gender equality for women in both developed and impoverished nations, equity among different races, and justice for nations suffering from corrupt politics and regimes. My interests and hobbies include photography (portraits and landscapes) and weight lifting. I'm majoring in public policy and economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill because I hope to be able to make a difference in the future by researching and enacting policies that improve the lives of U.S. citizens. I'm very patient with children and love to be around them! I have a 4 year old sister and 11 year old brother, and I have plenty of experience with younger children from previous jobs I've held.
