I'm a Junior Pre-medical student majoring in Biological Science at St. Petersburg College. My current GPA is 3.8 on a 4.0 scale.
Experience
I have experience tutoring both high-school and college students in mathematics (Pre-algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, College Algebra, and Pre-Calculus) and the natural and physical sciences (Biology 1 & 2, Plant Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Human Anatomy, General Chemistry 1 & 2, and Organic Chemistry 1 & 2). I also have helped high-school students prepare for the GED, SAT, ACT, and certain CLEP tests (Chemistry, Biology, and Spanish). I currently have an overall GPA of 3.8, and a science GPA of 4.0. I have completed all the college-level courses that I tutor, with the exception of the Spanish language courses. I am a native Spanish speaker, my family is from Spain. I tutor both high-school and college students in the Spanish language course (Levels 1-4: reading, writing and speaking/diction). I earned my AA degree Magna Cum Laude from SPC in the Spring of 2013, and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and the SPC Honors College throughout the time I was enrolled as an AA student. I was accepted into the Baccalaureate Biology Program at SPC in the Fall of 2013 and I am currently enrolled in my 3rd year of the program. I am a member of the Undergraduate Research Society, and a pending member of the Tri Beta National Biological Honor Society. In Spring of 2014 I was awarded the Superior Student in Physical Science award from the St. Petersburg College Clearwater campus. I am interested in tutoring because I want to use the experience and knowledge I've acquired thus far in my academic career to help other students achieve their academic goals.
