I am a resident of Tampa, Florida and a graduate of Florida State University. I work as a librarian and I've taught a variety of computer classes to the public in areas such as video editing software and beginning computer skills. I have over 15 years of experience tutoring all types of students, from gifted students to those with learning disabilities related to autism, ASD, or ADHD. I have tutored students ranging in age from 3 to 18, and I have enjoyed tutoring at each of these levels. My specialty is reading, although I have experience in many other subjects, too. I am available to tutor all areas of reading and writing, such as phonics, grammar and mechanics, and essay editing, as well as American and European history, geography, social studies, biology, computer science and technology, public speaking, and elementary science and math. I also offer summer tutoring and preparation for standardized tests such as the ACT or SSAT. I believe that all students have the ability to learn if given the correct tools.In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, engaging in activities such as canoeing, swimming, fishing, and biking. Painting is another hobby of mine. I love spending time with family and friends, and enjoy trying out different recipes.
