I have a BA degree in English in Creative Writing. I also spent some of my studies focusing on history. I'm currently working towards obtaining my teaching certificate, and should have it within the next few months.I have a lot of tutoring experience! While growing up in England, I helped many fellow students who moved around a lot. They were often struggling to keep up with their coursework because of the constant moves. I also have experience tutoring younger Girl Scouts. I often focused on helping with English and Mathematics subjects. During my last year of schooling, I did a practicum where I worked with a teacher to help students improve their reading comprehension. Since then, I've worked with a wide range of individuals to help them with their learning. I've helped an ESL student better understand his geometry homework. I've also helped students better prepare for their SAT courses and tests. While I can help with many topics, I really love helping students with their English needs.I truly feel that all students are able to succeed, but they succeed in different ways. I keep my tutoring style open and like to tailor the way I work with each student so that I can best meet their needs.
