For many high school and college students, working professionals, and adult learners, the ability to write well is key to success and the self-confidence that comes with it. Growth and advancement opportunities often depend on being able to communicate in a clear, concise and compelling manner. With a master’s degree in social work, I worked for 8 years as a science editor at the University of South Florida. In addition to editing faculty manuscripts and grant applications, I helped undergraduate and graduate students research and write term papers, personal statements, theses, and dissertations. I continue working privately with many professors and students. My tutoring focuses on older children and adult clients. I work with each individual to develop strategies resulting in stronger writing and critical reasoning skills. Clients include non-native English speakers from India, Saudi Arabia and several other countries. Tutoring takes place in the client’s home or at a convenient public library.
