I have been doing private, in-home tutoring in the area of writing and language arts since 2008. I retired in 2006 after 38 years as a classroom teacher in Hillsborough County. I have held a valid FL teaching certificate since 1968. My knowledge of English grammar and composition is such that I recently edited my first novel which is now awaiting publication.

A student's confidence and self-esteem are boosted vastly by academic success. I have always loved to teach and see that "AHA!" moment when a previously unattained concept is grasped. My grandmother always told me, "Your education is something no one will ever be able to take away from you." Education, my own and my students', has always been a focal point in my life. I enjoy staying busy and involved. Along with tutoring, proofreading and editing, I have found a genuine love for stained glass and am amazed to find that I have a talent for it. I have been an avid reader all my life and love music.
