I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida and am employed as an elementary school P.E. teacher. I previously tutored students in a private school environment. I like helping students understand their own learning processes and how best to study and internalized new concepts. I prefer tutoring in the areas of math and science because my experience has taught me multiple approaches to these concepts, so that I am able to adapt my lessons to be accessible to learners of all types. I the mathematical arena, I can assist in a range or areas from Elementary Math through Statistics and Differential Equations. Within the sciences, my areas of expertise include Life Science, Biology, Earth Science, Physical Science, and Anatomy. In any subject area, it is important for a child to build a foundation before undertaking more complex or nuanced subject matter. I enjoy helping students build this foundation and uncover their own strengths and most effective approaches. When I'm not working, I enjoy outdoor games, kayaking or canoeing, bicycling, long boarding, and taking my dog to the park.
