Although my primary focus is medicine, I discovered a deep love for teaching while I was a student in college. I received my bachelor's degree in athletic training at Dominican College in New York, then continued my education at Barry University of Pediatric Medicine, where I received my doctorate and was named valedictorian. At Barry, I also earned my master's degree in biomedical science. While attending Barry, I worked as a tutor on staff, and also as a teaching assistant for several scientific subjects. I enjoyed helping my classmates exceed their expectations in their biochemistry, anatomy, and histology courses. As a tutor, my focus is, of course, on science. I can work with students on anatomy, biology, chemistry, physiology, nutrition, physical science, and biochemistry. I am deeply passionate about both science and how it relates to the human body, and helping others discover their own passion for these subjects has been a great source of joy. My tutoring philosophy involves working closely with students to listen to them and guide them into discussing the subject with me, rather than lecturing the student. I want to ensure that each student feels like they received personal attention, and I want tutoring to be an interactive experience. In my spare time, I enjoy playing billiards.
