Experience

Earning my Master of Arts degree in French studies at the University of South Florida paved the way for my current position as an adjunct instructor at two institutions. I have dedicated seven years to polishing my skills as a classroom teacher. In that time, I have developed my own unique perspective on teaching a second language as an art. My philosophy is that each student has the potential to speak his or her mind, and communicate genuine thoughts as citizens of the world. I draw on my own experiences and passion for the Spanish and French way of life to encourage my students to explore different ways of seeing and thinking. I also try to instill in my students that absorbing a second language takes hard work and vision to be successful. At the foundation of learning a new language is communication. I believe we're all accountable for making the world a better place. When I'm not teaching, I spend my free time doing yoga, cooking, writing, painting, and creating collages. I'm also an artist.
