Baccalaureat (BA) from Institut Notre Dame, Paris, France. Washington Business School, Washington, DC. Raised and educated in France. Fluent French, fluent English, no accent in either language. I return often to Paris to visit my family.

Experience

I teach because of my love to expand my students' minds when they learn either French, English or even creative writing. I am amazed at the progress of my students, especially in French. One of my students received the highest grade for her 2014 IB test in the entire Hillsborough County school system. Another one of my students received the highest grade for her 2018 IB test. Those are results I like to see. I lead the pilot program "Conversation Class" for ESOL for the Hillsborough County Literacy Council. This program was so successful that it is now being offered in different libraries in the county. I came to the United States from France when I was 13 years old and didn't speak English. My experience with different languages (French, Spanish and Italian and learning English) has made me appreciate the difficulties of learning a second language. My writing and knowledge of vocabulary/grammar impressed the White House so much that I served on Mrs. Hillary Clinton's personal correspondence staff for 5 years. I offer free advice in between classes to all my students. If they have a question about a test, vocabulary or grammar, they can e-mail me and I will answer at no charge. I want my students to feel that they don't have to wait until the next class to progress and they can get an answer to a question relatively quickly.

Hobbies

I am an avid gardener; I especially like to read books outside in my garden. I have three poodles, Allie, Tuky and a tea-cup, called Lacey. They are all rescue dogs. I love to teach and make teaching fun. I prepare each class for each student as I believe people learn differently. Each class if tailored for that specific client. I love to share my knowledge with others and watch as they fulfill their goals and dreams. I return to Paris each year to visit my family and take some of my students with me. Not only do we learn about history, culture and French food, but we can share the experience together when we are visiting Paris. It's heart-warming to see the students remember different aspects of what we had learned and see if live. It gives them a better understanding of France and a more enthusiastic visit.
