Experience
Variety of tutoring experience with middle school, high school, and university students. Subjects ranging from elementary mathematics, life sciences, physical sciences, calculus, statistics, and mechanical/aerospace engineering. Tutoring is a job I have been doing ever since I was old enough to start helping my sister with school. Ever since then, I have wanted to help students in school and to ultimately become a teacher at the high school/community college level. Tutoring helps me gather relevant information about being an effective teacher with the students of today. Not only do I want my students to attain the necessary skills and knowledge of their subjects, but more importantly I want to help increase their self-confidence in tackling their homework, projects, and examinations. It is my belief that high levels of self-confidence will only benefit the students understanding and performance in their subjects. My background is in mechanical engineering (i.e. a lot of high level mathematics, physics, and chemistry). Throughout my time in college, I developed an affinity towards mathematics because of the great instructors I had! This made me more interested in the field to the point where I one day hope to go for my PhD in Mathematics.

Hobbies
Outside of math and science, I really enjoy exploring new music, travelling, hiking, learning and playing new instruments, writing non-fiction essays and short stories, and spending quality time with close friends and family. Volunteering is also an inherent part of who I am as a person. I have volunteered with county and state beautification projects (beach/river cleanups), Habitat for Humanity, Lockheed Martin Day of Caring, The Museum of Science and Industry, and weekend events focusing on engaging middle and high school students interested in engineering and the sciences.
