Experience
My first tutoring experience began as an undergraduate at Loyola University. I was helping other classmates who found it a bit more challenging to understand a particular material (particularly Science, Math and Art). Since then, I have dedicated over 1, 500 hours of working with students from the the 1st grade up to college level, across all subjects. I have experience in working with children at an after-school center and in-home private tutoring. I have adapted many professional teaching methods into my tutoring sessions with children and I have seen vast improvement in their comprehension of their course subjects. I also have experience in working with adult students who are returning to school after many years. Additionally, I have tutored for exams such as the GRE, SAT and GED. I can proudly state that the majority of my students improved their marks by two or more letter grades; and on occasion, completely turning an F to an A in one semester's time. I have learned from my tutoring sessions that every student is unique, with different confidence levels, learning styles and study habits. With that in mind, I will tailor and adjust every session to each individual's needs. I have many books, printouts and teaching guidelines. My goal is to help each student to master their subject matter to the point where they are confident with the material. I look forward to working with you or your child! Hobbies
I enjoy volunteering to work with children and adolescents as well as volunteering in disaster relief efforts. I have previously been active in the Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, Red Cross and various veterinary clinics, as volunteer. I am also active in the Christian community. I enjoy playing sports and outdoors activities (hiking,swimming, camping, etc)
